Pumps

The standard Suparator system includes a progressing cavity pump where a ‘screw’ type rotor turns inside a specially formed rubber stator. The smooth pumping action makes it very suitable to pump oil/water mixtures without causing any emulsification. This type of pump has excellent suction and discharge characteristic which makes it capable of bridging long distances if necessary.
Alternative pump options are also available.
Features
- Made to last - Stainless steel pump with Viton elastomers to handle high temperature or corrosive fluids.
- Positive displacement pump reduces shear and prevents emulsification.
- Strong suction and discharge pressure.
- Easy to maintain with minimal spare parts.
Popular Questions
Every component of Suparator is designed for optimal oil removal. A positive displacement pump, such as this progressive cavity pump, is able to transfer fluid with the least amount of turbulence and mixing. This provides for a larger oil droplet size and easy removal. If the oil is mechanically emulsified into the wash water, oil drop size decreases greatly. A longer residence time is required for oil droplets to reform and float to the surface.
